Aux Grottes de Naours

Just back to the Château after an afternoon visit to Les Grottes de Naours. As well as the caves, there was also a windmill and a small playground to enjoy.

Photos from our morning in Rue. You will notice the careful use of hoodies to protect the children from a very rare species of 'drop spider' indigenous to the trees on the avenue into the town, discovered some years ago on April 1st ;-) the spiders lay their eggs in children's hair as they descend from the trees on their gossamer threads, but the local residents use special shampoo to protect themselves! I'm pleased to say the children took this health and safety warning very seriously! (Mrs Gunn had to improvise headgear!)
